Our Story
Nick founded Nick's Appliance Repair in 2018 as a solo technician with a loaded service van and one promise: every customer gets an honest diagnosis, a fair price, and a repair done right the first time. After years of working for large appliance repair companies across the GTA, he saw a pattern that frustrated him — customers were routinely overcharged for simple fixes, pressured into unnecessary replacements, and left waiting days for a technician to show up.
He decided to build something better. Starting with refrigerator and washing machine repairs in the Toronto area, Nick earned his first Google reviews through word-of-mouth referrals. Customers appreciated that he arrived on time, explained exactly what was wrong, and quoted the price before touching a single part. That straightforward approach turned into steady growth.
By 2020, demand had outpaced what one person could handle. Nick brought on a second technician, then a third. Today the company has grown into a team of 10 certified technicians serving more than 30 cities across the Greater Toronto Area. Nick is a TSSA-certified gas appliance technician and licensed appliance repair specialist with over 8 years of hands-on experience. He holds certifications across all major appliance brands — Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, Bosch, Maytag, KitchenAid, Frigidaire, and more — and is fully licensed and insured in Ontario.
Nick personally oversees every job and trains each technician on the team to his standard: diagnose accurately, quote honestly, and fix it right the first time. He still takes service calls himself and remains the quality benchmark for the entire operation.

If the repair cost exceeds the value of your appliance, we tell you. We would rather lose a job than have a customer pay more than they should. That honesty is why more than half of our business comes from repeat customers and referrals. We repair refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, stoves, and freezers — all at your home, using original manufacturer parts.
Our $89 diagnostic fee is waived when you proceed with the repair, and every completed job is backed by a 90-day warranty on both parts and labour. If the same issue comes back within 90 days, we return and fix it at no additional cost.
